WASHINGTON, D.C. (February 3, 2017) – At the Wheat Industry Winter Conference this week, the National Association of Wheat Growers (NAWG) unveiled their newly updated association website during its Board of Directors meeting. The revamped website aims to bring a greater focus to the advocacy efforts of the organization, who represents wheat growers across the country.
“The wheat industry is well-positioned to be an advocacy leader in production agriculture, especially as we head into the drafting of the next Farm Bill. It was important for our organization to have a digital footprint that reflected our heightened boots-on-the-ground policy efforts, the evolving production needs of our industry, and the well-known quality of the American wheat crop,” said NAWG CEO Chandler Goule.
The layout of the website highlights NAWG’s policy positions and priority issues, timely communications, and wheat production in the United States, providing a platform to communicate with the industry, Capitol Hill, the media, and the consumer public. In addition, a new membership section of the website highlights the grassroots of the organization’s member states.
“Technology is an important tool for wheat farmers and the industry, and that applies to the way we communicate with our stakeholders as well. NAWG is excited to have this new website that showcases wheat farmers, the wheat industry and our organization,” added NAWG President and Montana wheat farmer, Gordon Stoner.
