Wheat Organizations

National Association of Wheat Growers

NAWG works with 20 state wheat grower organizations to advocate on behalf of wheat farmers, industry partners and the wheat industry. NAWG advocates for the state wheat organizations in Washington, D.C., working on a daily basis with coalition partners, Members of Congress and officials at the Department of Agriculture and other government agencies.

U.S. Wheat Associates

U.S Wheat (USW) is the industry’s market development organization working in more than 100 countries, funded by producer check-off dollars from 19 state wheat commissions and through cost-share funding provided by USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service. USW also works on trade policy issues before the executive branch.

Wheat Foods Council

Wheat Foods Council (WFC) is a nonprofit organization that helps increase public awareness of grains, complex carbohydrates and fiber as essential components of a healthful diet. The Council is supported by wheat producers, millers and related industries.

Grain Foods Foundation

Grain Foods Foundation is a venture of members of the milling and baking industries dedicated to advancing the public’s understanding of the beneficial role of grain-based foods.

National Wheat Improvement Committee

National Wheat Improvement Committee (NWIC) is a non-profit organization representing public and private wheat researchers. NAWG serves as NWIC’s secretary, and the two organizations work together each year to outline and advocate research priorities.

International Wheat Genome Sequencing Project

The IWGSC is an international group of plant scientists and growers dedicated to sequencing the wheat genome to enhance scientists’ knowledge of the structure and function of the wheat genome.

Wheat Quality Council

The Wheat Quality Council works to improve the value of all U.S. wheat classes for producers, millers and processors by advocating the development of new wheat varieties.

International Grains Program

IGP is designed to educate foreign business leaders and government officials about U.S. grains and oilseeds through technical training and assistance programs.

Northern Crops Institute

NCI supports regional agriculture and value-added processing by conducting educational and technical programs that expand and maintain domestic and international markets for Northern-grown crops.

Wheat Marketing Center

The Wheat Marketing Center is a private, non-profit corporation that is a bridge between wheat producers of the Great Plains and the Pacific Northwest and wheat importers throughout the world.

North American Export Grain Association

North American Export Grain Association (NAEGA) includes private and publicly-owned companies and farmer-owned cooperatives that are involved in and provide services to the bulk grain and oilseed exporting industries.

North American Millers' Association

NCI supports regional agriculture and value-added processing by conducting educational and technical programs that expand and maintain domestic and international markets for Northern-grown crops.

AIB International

AIB International is committed to protecting the safety of the food supply chain and delivering high-value technical and educational programs.

American Bakers Association

American Bakers Association (ABA) represents all segments of the grain-based foods industry before the U.S. Congress, state legislatures and domestic and international regulatory authorities.
