USDA to Hold Online Meeting for Stakeholders to Gather Input about Statistical Programs
The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) will host its annual USDA Data Users’ Meeting on Tuesday, April 21st as a virtual meeting. Usually held in person, this online Data Users’ Meeting remains free of charge and open to the public and will take place from 1:00-3:30 p.m. (ET). Links to the webinar will be shared with participants after registration.

Futurity Blog Looks at EWG’s Fear Mongering re Pesticide Residue
Futurity CEO Jack Bobo’s most recent blog discusses how the Environmental Working Group (EWG)’s infamous “Dirty Dozen” list of fruits and vegetables and pesticide residue scares consumers from buying necessary produce. Bobo explores how misinformation and groups like EWG can deter consumers from buying these healthy options.

2020 National Wheat Yield Contest – May 15th Winter Wheat Deadline
On February 18, 2020, the National Wheat Foundation officially opened the 2020 National Wheat Yield Contest! The Contest is divided into two primary competition categories: winter wheat and spring wheat, and two subcategories: dryland and irrigated. The Foundation is accepting entries for Winter and Spring Wheat. The deadline for Winter Wheat entries is May 15th. The Spring wheat entry deadline is August 1st, with an early registration deadline of June 15th.
